I love traveling. I have travelled almost half of the world. My friends have started calling me who 'Traveling Diva'. For me travelling is like meditation. It rejuvenates me. After every few months, it's an obligation for me to take a break and visit a place I have always wished to go. The only problem that arises is with the budget. Being a student and a traveler who love to pack her bag and set out after every few months, the budget was becoming a topic of worry for me. A friend of mine, who is also a traveler, suggested me a budget trip to Thailand and here I was, ready to explore another lovely place. I packed my bag and set out. My trip to Thailand was amazing. I did everything without compromising on my budget. Here, I am sharing my experiences and tips for the budget travelers, who are planning a trip to the Thai country.

A holiday in Thailand can be expensive or cheap. It all depends on you. Thailand has some of the most luxurious and beautiful resorts as well as some cheapest hotels too. You can take a room for as cheap as $3 USD or can stay amidst luxury costing you as much as $ 1,000 USD. In Northern Thailand, one can get cheap and decent dorms for $3 to $4 nightly.

In Thailand, you can have a lavish meal in a Michelin starred restaurant or you can relish the local street food for pennies. Street food, in Thailand is very tasty and is also safe to eat. You can enjoy Pad Thai and delicious Penang Curry in very low prices on street or get the best varieties in restaurants. Street food costs as little as $0.65 per meal. If your budget is a little tight, you can take the advantage of Happy Hours where you can get drinks at half price and 2 for 1 specials. You can also save some money on beer by drinking it outside. Alcoholic beverages cost only $3.
